Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited is a leading global provider of telecommunications services. The Group currently offers mobile and fixed-line telecommunication. Hutchison launched its GSM service in 2004 with the aim of being a nationwide operator in Sri Lanka. As of April 2010, Hutch has network coverage of approximate 70% of the entire island. Hutch Sri Lanka operates a GSM/EDGE supported network using 900 / 1800 MHz. The company on 2012 launched HSPA+ services using 2100 MHz.
